About Us

John and Margaret set up Windowright Ltd in after selling the largest sealed unit business in the county. Deciding they did not want to fully retire they set up Windowright as a small concern supplying both the trade and public sectors of the uPVC industry. John has been in the uPVC industry for 37 years and Margaret for 34 years. This experience has enabled them to advise customers in all areas and pass on their extensive knowledge that they have acquired over the years.

Jackie joined the original family business some 24 years ago. She also deals with customers when they initially phone making enquiries and often arranges appointments which are convenient to the customer. Jackie is always happy to answer any queries and assist customers in any way that she can. Jackie and Louise liaise regarding customers orders and installations and they are both often able to answer customer queries and keep them abreast of the production of their order. She plays a strong role in the sealed unit department, inputting orders and ensuring that all the glass is ordered correctly.

Louise joined the original family business 28 years ago, after leaving school. She trained in all areas of the business taking a particular interest in the decorative glass department. Here she learnt the art of decorative glass and completed many commissions for both the domestic and commercial trade. When John & Margaret sold their original business Louise also joined them and along with Jackie has helped establish a good customer support base. Louise primarily deals with customers and is often the person who follows up customer quotations when Dave has made his initial visit. If an order is placed, Louise will compute the order and liaise with the client regarding delivery and fitting dates. She also ensures that all contracts are in place as is deposit and warranty protection insurance. Louise will also register the relevant installations with FENSA.

Patrick has worked for John and Margaret for the past 32 years and is the Manager of the sealed unit department. Patrick was John's right hand man in the previous business and what Patrick doesn't know about the glass industry isn't worth knowing about! Over this time Patrick's knowledge regarding both commercial and domestic installations has become extensive and again he can offer advice and assistance to all our customers and clients. Patrick ensures that all sealed units are manufactured to a strict schedule and to quality mark EN1279. He designs and manufactures all decorative units whether they are Georgian grill, diamond or rectangular leaded and bespoke designs.

Dave has worked for John and Margaret for the past 14 years. He has extensive knowledge regarding the fabrication and installation of uPVC windows, doors and conservatories. He can offer both advice and information to customers regarding their installations and always shows attention to detail when installing and completing any work.Dave is our Factory Manager in the Window Department and it is normally Dave that makes the initial visit when we receive enquiries from customers and surveys any windows etc to be made. Dave then ensures that all fabrication follows a very high standard and that consistency and quality are always a top priority. To complete the job from start to finish it is essentially Dave that installs most of our domestic contracts.

Darren has been with us for 10 years and has been in the uPVC and sealed unit industry for over 22 years. Like Dave Barden he can offer advice regarding installations, materials used and required. Darren works to high standard and is always happy to assist in any way that he can. Darren often goes on installations with Dave and together they make a competent team.

Adam has been with the company for 11 years now. He joined the company as an apprentice and completed an NVQ in Performing Manufacturing Operations. He mainly assists Patrick in the sealed unit department. He has learnt most aspects of the company regarding the sealed units and the window fabrication department and sometimes goes on site as a fitters mate. Adam is aware of the high standards we expect and endeavours to give 100% when completing his work.

Ian (Jackie's husband and John & Margaret's Son-In-Law) joined the company a little over 5 years ago after deciding to have a change of career and John persuading him to join the family business. He is shadowing and working closely with Patrick and is learning all aspects of the sealed unit production. Ian has also gained knowledge about the strict quality system we have to adhere to, too maintain our EN1279 quality mark carrying out the relevant tests and maintaining records. He has also gained experience and knowledge when working closely with Dave and Darren when attending surveys and installations with them. It is John's intention for both Patrick and Ian to continue their current working relationship and to take a more managerial role between them therefore enabling him and Margaret to semi-retire.

Connor also joined the company on the Government backed apprenticeship scheme and has now become a full member of staff. He has been with the company just over 3 years and in that time has gained experience in most aspects relating to the manufacture of double glazed sealed units.

Greg has been with the company for 2 years and his main role within the business is as a driver delivering sealed units to our customers. Greg has also gained experience within the manufacture of the double glazed sealed units and can carry out many of the processes needed to make them.

As you have read, many of us have worked together for some time enabling us to form a productive team. Our individual roles often overlap with each other, therefore offering the advantage that we are all generally aware of production schedules and what contracts we have and when they are to be completed. You can be assured of a service that emphasises customer care and quality at all times.
