Bradney House

Our remit for this conservatory was quite specific. Our customer wanted a white uPVC conservatory that had lots of detailing and due to the design and location the conservatory would have to have a box gutter all the way around. This was a tall order to ask, due to the conservatory size and style. But with lots of liasing and simulated testing, our roof company came up with the final roof plan. The size of the conservatory was 6 metres by 5 metres in a T-shape layout. The roof was a double hipped Edwardian, glazed with Pilkington Active double glazed sealed units with 2 automatic roof vents.
In between sections of the conservatory windows our customer wanted an added feature, the plan detailed roman effect pillars and we suggested using moulded pilasters with bases (bottoms), shafts (centre pillars), and capitals (decorative tops). These gave the beauty of plaster but without any of the drawbacks. The pilasters are moulded from high density polyurethane. To cover the box gutter a uPVC trim was used with uPVC dental moulding on the underside to give an added detail.
The dwarf wall was rendered and then tyroleaned to complete the customers remit.
